Key Areas, we want you to look at
Understand the Problem at its Core - We want students to begin by immersing themselves in the problem—studying real-world challenges faced by UPAY on the ground. This includes interacting with stakeholders, observing operations (virtually or on-site), and identifying gaps or inefficiencies. The aim is to develop a clear, insight-driven understanding before jumping to solutions.

Design Practical & Scalable Solutions - Based on these the problem understanding, students are expected to craft innovative, low-cost, and resource-sensitive solutions solutions should be tailored to UPAY’s operating environment and designed for real-world application—whether it's a business model, a tech tool, or a community engagement framework.

Refine, Validate and Build for Execution - The final output should be a clear, actionable plan or prototype that includes an execution roadmap, defined roles, estimated costs, and measurable impact indicators.
Guidelines
  • Innovation: A game-changing innovation might involve either developing a novel concept or adapting a successful idea from another country or region to address this problem statement.
  • Acceptability: The solution should be acceptable and contextualized to the beneficiaries of UPAY.
  • Scale: The solution should be designed for broad implementation, not limited to a specific geographic area or a small segment of beneficiaries, but scalable to reach a larger audience.
  • Stakeholder Consideration: The solution should offer a compelling value proposition to all stakeholders, motivating them to actively support and contribute to its successful implementation.
  • Financial Viability: The solution should be financially feasible and sustainable. It should be justified with socio-economic benefits.
