SKILL-DRIVEN SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOODS

Many NGOs run skill development centers to empower women and youth through training in areas like tailoring, handicrafts, and food processing. While these centers build valuable skills, they often remain donor-dependent and lack financial sustainability.

The challenge is to transform these centers into self-sustaining micro-enterprises that not only continue beyond external funding but also provide steady livelihoods to those trained. This involves moving from a training-only model to one focused on market linkages, business strategy, branding, and community ownership, enabling financial independence and long-term impact.

Under this theme, you’ll work on a real case study from UPAY and propose practical solutions aligned with these goals.
