About Us
It was started on 27th May 2018. It’s the first zone of UPAY in South India. The story of the Bangalore zone of UPAY NGO started when one of the volunteers from UPAY Gurgaon zone, Harsha Rani, moved to Bangalore. The dedication she invested in opening the zone led to the beginning of UPAY NGO in Bangalore.
On 28th May, the first class was conducted with an average of 30 children. Recently the zone expanded itself by opening a skill development center. The ladies in the area were provided training in stitching and hemming, embroidery and basic computer skills. T
The zone also opened its next educational center in the Koramangala area on 11th August 2019 with 10 students. This is the first Footpathshaala center of the zone. Apart from that, the zone also opened up its library on 1st March 2020. These small milestones have made up the journey of the Bangalore zone and there is a long way to tread ahead.
